Community acupuncture is a model that is practiced around the world, and gaining popularity in North America. It is performed in a group setting with sliding scale or Pay-What-You-Can rates, making health care more accessible.
Laura runs a community clinic shift on Wednesdays, 2-6pm (arrive by 5pm)
@ The Herbal Clinic, 409 Roncesvalles Ave (map below).
Though the clinic accepts walk-ins, online booking is recommended if you want to secure a spot. Your time-slot must be reserved 24hrs or more in advance. So if it’s the day of and you haven’t reserved a spot, just drop in!
Reserve your community acupuncture treatment here.
(Book Wednesday if requesting a treatment with Laura.)
First there is the obvious: being in a room with others as you receive treatment! Community acupuncture intakes are shorter, the time for the intake and insertion of needles is approx 10min. The needles still remain in for somewhere between 25-35min. If you are experiencing a more complex health issue, I recommend booking a one-on-one session where you and your practitioner can go into more depth and bring in other treatment approaches in addition to acupuncture.
